When the day starts, you need

  • Energy

You start switched on instead of catching up all morning.

  • Clarity

The to-do loop goes quiet. You know what matters today and what can wait.

  • Focus

Not the whole day at once. One thing: how you'll start. The rest follows.

  • Composure

Steady from the first meeting to the last. A pace you set, not one the day sets for you.

Rilo works for your other big moments too.

Three steps. Then you go.

  1. Pick your moment.

Choose your big day. Rilo builds the warmup around it.

  2. Follow the warmup.

A few minutes that turn the nerves into drive.

  3. Start the day.

Switched on from the first meeting.

The research says: don't calm down. Get ready.

  • Reframing your nerves as excitement helps you perform better.

Trying to calm down doesn't help much. Saying “I'm excited” does: people who reframed their nerves as excitement sang, spoke and solved maths problems better than people who tried to relax. Rilo helps you make that switch before you walk in.

  • A set routine helps you perform when the pressure's on.

Top athletes use one before every big moment, and it works: across 15 sports, a routine improved performance, including under pressure. Rilo gives you your own routine for interviews, exams and presentations.

  • Slow breathing settles a racing body.

A few minutes of slow, paced breathing switches on your body's calming response, so the shakiness eases and you feel steadier. A review of 223 studies found the effect holds up again and again.

Rilo turns these findings into a warmup you can do before your first meeting.

FAQ

How do I calm my nerves before a performance review?

Prepare the facts first, then prepare yourself. The night before, write down three wins and one thing you want to ask for. Ten minutes before, breathe slowly for two minutes and decide how you'll open. Having your first sentence ready keeps you from getting defensive. Rilo gives you a short warmup for exactly that.

How do I deal with first-day nerves at a new job?

Expect them, and plan the first hour. Know when to leave, what to wear and who you're meeting. Before you walk in, take two minutes of slow breathing and remind yourself the nerves mean you care. Nobody expects you to know everything on day one. Your only job is to show up switched on.

Is this a morning routine?

Not a daily one. It's for the days that matter: a launch, a performance review, your first day at a new job.

Can I use it on a normal workday?

Yes. Pick “Something else” and use it before any day you want to start strong.

Is this meditation?

No. Meditation is a daily habit. Rilo is for the minutes before your day starts.

Do I need sound on?

No. Everything is on screen. Sound adds narration, music and breathing cues.

Is it free?

Your first warmup is free. No card required. After that, plans start at $3 a month.

Is this a treatment for anxiety?

No. This is a pre-performance tool, not mental-health treatment or a substitute for professional care.

Your nerves are already here. Put them to work.

A few minutes, then go start strong.
